Yup Bill Clinton territory: ) However I do have to say I had quite a day yesterday and so wanted to write about it last night, but felt I should meditate on it and wait for today.
The day seemed like everyone was in a rush. I drove about 550 miles, and a few times I simply sat on a table in a rest area and just watched people stop, rush to the bathroom, and rush back onto the road. I felt how wrong, at what point to they hurry up and relax? Then it hit me... what am I doing other than rush across the United States right now to hurry up and get to my appointment in Arizona. The denial we can all have sometimes.
Well as I got to the hotel room and fired up my computer it felt so good seeing the wonderful emails I had been sent, gave a huge rise to spirit, and truly felt good on the inside, ( one person even bought me a powerball ticket and emailed the numbers ) I checked the numbers this a.m. and how symbolic, I had hit the powerball. I thank her for the nice gesture of buying that ticket, what small wonderful thing can you do today for someone else? What have you not done out of fear?
I went outside and there was a man next to my car, we struck up conversation and wow what a conversation it was. He provides scholarships to college kids from Malaysia to go to the college in this town I am in. He said that he had worked this out with Sam Walton and his wife years ago, and what wonderful people they were. He also said that the kids that came here averaged 3.8 GPA. They do not see or feel a recession, they see a wonderful land of opportunity that we have. They have not had all the basics that we have so therefore are grateful for so much.
Let this be a lesson to us all that we have food water and shelter our needs, and the rest are wants. Yes there is a certain percentage of the United States and world in a recession, however do you want to be in that percentage? If not, don't be!
If we did not have TV and newspapers, would we be in a recession?
