Saturday March 28th (please send the email below)

So much to say, so much to do.

First order is a lesson in life, as much as I want to share on my whereabouts and what I am doing there is a lesson far more important. Children teach us oh so much, they are expected to make mistakes, so they get the benefit of being able to live life more fully than us adults I believe.

My daughter Marissa as a 7th grader tried out and did not make the Softball team last year. She has just made the team this year. Her focus was obviously not fear, but victory. She lived deep disappointment last year, and embarrassment, and that only motivated her more. I got a call from her yesterday letting me know she had made the team her words were "Dad I tried so hard". We expect the children go out of their comfort zone while we sit back and enjoy our daily routine. She is now experiencing wonderful feelings of accomplishment due to moving out of her comfort zone. Obviously a proud daddy here.

Please 2 things for this weekend, email her at RissKidd@Hotmail.com telling her congratulations, and number 2 is on Sunday and Monday change your routine. Think about what it is you do each morning as you get up, and question it. Why have you decided the things you do are so important that you do them everyday?

Hug your kid right away, lean over smile and let the man next to you know how wonderful he is, call that neighbor and ask them to go for a walk, make a change for a day or two and look back after and ask yourself why you got caught up in the routine you were in.

As human animals we just like any other animals have patterned behavior. We are far more intelligent though, lets use some of that intelligence by breaking out of patterned behavior for a few days.

However remember to say the 5 things you are grateful for right away, look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how wonderful you are, and then say nice things to the first 5 people in your day. Keep focused and remember if you are not feeling as good as you want to, your mind has gone back into the past or into the future and created a situation that has you feeling poorly. If you are to have your mind travel use it to your benefit, think of beautiful things in your past, or create beautiful things in your future.... why wouldn't you? Just because your normal human mind naturally creates or focuses on the yukky things, does not mean you do not have the intelligence to control it and decide to think of wonderful things instead: ) Be alert though, your mind will try its best to slip back to its normal thought process as soon as you let it.
